Background Information:

Liverpool Buccaneers RLFC was established in 2002 by graduates of the three Universities in Liverpool.
The aims of the club are to develop and expand Summer Rugby League in the Liverpool area.
Whilst the majority of our players are student rugby league graduates we also have a sizeable representation of local rugby union players and some experienced players from the Merseyside area.

The club is based at Sefton Rugby Club in West Derby, and competes in the Rugby League National League which is a nationwide competition run over the summer (April till September) involving 10 teams spread across the country.

Season 2010:
The 2010 season will see the Buccaneers in their third season in the top flight of Summer Conference RL with 10 participants, including teams from Carlisle, Warrington, Bramley, Kippax, Nottingham, Hemel, Featherstone, Dewsbury and Huddersfield.

The RL National competition receives a sizeable amount of media coverage from the Liverpool Echo and the Merseymart, the weekly Rugby League Express and Rugby Leaguer newspapers, the monthly Rugby League World magazine and local radio.

With over 60 registered players, the majority of whom are graduates, we can offer your company access to high income individuals just starting out on their chosen careers in life. We have numerous poster campaigns in prominent positions at all local universities, leisure centres, libraries and sports clubs all over Merseyside. You will have access to our player database and in addition our strong links with the city’s three universities means we can also market your brand to other undergraduates who have registered with our website via email. With our high profile media coverage your company can be associated with a very successful brand which is rapidly developing into a top amateur RL club and the only one in this area.
